St. Regis Dubai (now Habtoor Palace)
St. Regis Dubai (now Habtoor Palace Hotel)
Location: Dubai, UAE
Client: Al Habtoor
Art Consultancy: Ophelia Art Consultancy
The interiors of the St. Regis Dubai were inspired by the city’s beaux-arts architecture, mirroring the timeless elegance of the original St. Regis New York.
Signature elements such as the grand staircase and carefully curated artworks throughout the hotel brought a sense of grandeur, tradition, and sophistication to Dubai’s very first St. Regis property.
Ophelia Art Consultancy was appointed as the art consultant, working closely with both the client and the operator to develop a compelling narrative for the hotel, while staying true to the values and legacy of the St. Regis brand.
The concept we developed imagined the hotel as a private gallery — a place where guests could experience the personal collection of a well-travelled individual.
Each artwork, photograph, and artefact would tell a story of global exploration and cultural discovery, inviting guests to step into the life of a collector who had gathered treasures from around the world.
To bring this vision to life, we commissioned locally based artists to create bespoke artworks for the public areas and guestrooms.
The guestroom collection was entirely commissioned, blending archive images of the UAE with modern, abstract original art — creating a beautiful dialogue between heritage and contemporary culture.
The result was a layered and deeply personal experience, offering every guest a journey through art, memory, and adventure.
